The iPad mini was also rumored before the iPad 2 was announced and now those rumors have resurfaced. Bloomberg and The Wall Street Journal report that Apple will have a 7 or 8 inch size tablet out by the end of the year, possibly just in time for holiday shopping. If true, it sounds like a direct competitor to the Kindle Fire and the recently announced Nexus 7, both of which are priced at $199.
